Replying to comments

Replying to a comment extends the comment thread with a new comment.

To reply to a comment:

  1. Open the comments view of the item to which you want to reply as described in Viewing and editing comments. The comments view appears.
  2. Click Sub in the Add column next to the comment to which you want to reply. A page appears on which you can type the subcomment information and attach files. The parent comment is also shown for reference.
  3. Click options or type values using the descriptions in the following table.
Subcomment part options
Option Description

Subcomment classification

Select a value to classify the subcomment that you are about to add. The value will be shown with the subcomment. To add text to the value, type in the text box.

Subcomment

Type your subcomment text up to 2,000 characters.

Attach file

 Click Browse and select a file to attach to the subcomment.
  1. Click Save comment. The comments view refreshes to show the reply added to the comment.
